High mount to reversal

Situation

The opponent is in the mount position on top of you

Disruption

Perform a strong hip thrust (bridge) to off-balance your opponent. As they stabalize, quickly secure a grip around their back, pulling them down to break their posture. Use this moment to climb up slightly with your legs.

Control

Trap one of their arms against your chest and secure it with your arms locked. Simultaneously, hook your foot over their ankle on the same side to lock down their movement.

Execution

Thrust your hips diagonally (diagonal bridge) towards the side where their legs and arms are trapped. Use your free leg to push off the mat, rolling them onto their back.
